I would absolutely recommend this place. Great portions, calm and traditional atmosphere, welcoming and attentive staff, and great prices! This is not a tourist trap. It stays on our map :))Recommending the Bacalhao com natas and their red wine.

We stopped by here on our way back from Sintra. Conveniently located next to the train station, this restaurant was a pretty good overall experience. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive and recommended us some great dishes. The octopus was cooked to perfection and super tender. The grilled chicken however was quite dry and hard to eat. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend.

Food is very well done, had the grilled sea bream from their menu of the day. Price is very reasonable and excellent house white wine. Lady hostess very friendly and made sure everything is ok for us. They even provide the wifi details clearly around the restaurant. Accepts cash, and there’s an atm nearby if you need.

Wonderful restaurant close to the train station. Great food at a very reasonable price. Clean bathrooms, good wifi, and a very friendly owner waits on you and genuinely cares about your experience.Excellent grilled squid lunch plate with fresh orange juice and a bowl of fresh onion soup for 19 eur (great value )

Visited here almost by an accident, there was a lady who spoke English and told us they serve traditional Portuguese food. Affordable and tasty food with great service. For starters we had soup of the day shrimp soup (almost too shrimpy for us), and tomato/mozzarella salad. For main course we had grilled chicken (piripiri). They make their own desserts, and when we dined there they had pudding cake and some sort of sponge cake dessert, which were great! Fresh cherries were juicy and delicious. Atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and cozy. Be prepared to bring cash with you, there is no payment with cards.Affordable and tasty food Friendly service (English) Good location in Sintra, close to train station- Cash only

Perfect place to eat. It was the first time I cannot eat all. Huge plate with roasted chicken and fried potatoes. And very cheap. If I think better I can travel every day from Lisbon to Sintra just to eat.

A Heartbreaking Loss of TraditionThis authentic Portuguese restaurant has been a cornerstone of the area for over 25 years, serving delicious, traditional dishes at fair prices. If you’re passing by, it’s a must-visit to experience the real essence of local culture.Tragically, the owners of the building are forcing them out to construct a hotel, transforming the area into an expensive, tourist-only zone filled with fast food. This decision erases the charm and authenticity that make the town special.Visit while you can and support this gem—it’s a vital piece of the community that deserves to be preserved.
